    This National Science Foundation award will help prepare the next generation of engineering students to work in the field of wireless communications.  

  • Virginia Tech students invited to Diversity Conference and Case CompetitionThe case competition will feature groups of three to four students competing for prizes of $2,000, $1,000, and $500 in two rounds of presentations.

    Jarrad Henderson, a photographer for the Detroit Free Press before coming to Virginia Tech, was named the Multimedia Photographer of the Year by the Michigan Press Photographers Association.

  • Brain School 2015 focuses on beginnings

    Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute hosts its third annual Brain School this month. Sessions are free, yet limited by space restrictions, so online registration is required.  

  • Computer science researcher hopes to make access to cloud storage more efficient

    Ali R. Butt, associate professor of computer science at Virginia Tech, has received a NetApp Faculty Fellowship to make more efficient uses of resources in cloud storage systems.

  • Part-time MBA program climbs 30 spots in U.S. News rankings

    Virginia Tech's Evening MBA is ranked No. 16, up from No. 46 last year. Other Virginia Tech graduate programs also received accolades in the survey.
