On August 16, 2004, Virginia Tech launched My VT 3.0 based on uPortal 2.3.3. Our 3.0 release represents the result of a lot of listening to end user feedback and some major rethinking of what My VT is, what it should do, and how it should do it. First, and foremost, we wanted to design a platform that would give us the flexibility to adapt and grow as portal becomes the primary means of interacting with the university.

We created this tour especially for the uPortal community to showcase some of the changes we've made to the uPortal framework and to share some of the ideas we have for how My VT can meets the needs of Virginia Tech.

We are working on providing the ability for non-Virginia Tech users to log on to My VT, so you can experience the system first-hand.
